Estate Planning During Social Distancing

As clients leave our office, having just signed their documents, we often hear that they feel so relieved – like a weight is lifted off their shoulders just knowing that they now have something in place. Many of them comment that they intended to take care of their Wills ages ago, but never found the time to sit down with an attorney to actually get the ball rolling on your estate planning.

For better or worse, we’re all spending a lot more time at home these days. Fortunately, we have so many technological tools at our disposal that allow us to connect to others even in this time of social distancing and even isolation. Our office has quickly adapted to appointments conducted via video conferencing and we have implemented procedures to ensure documents are executed in a manner that protects the health and wellbeing of both our clients and our staff. Perhaps this unexpected time at home is the perfect opportunity for you to jump start that pesky–but hugely important–task that you have previously put off due to time constraints: Getting your estate planning documents in order.

If you would like to discuss how we can help you get a jump start on your estate plan, from the comfort of your own home, please contact our office (856-489-8388). We are here, working (largely remotely!) and ready to help. We are thinking of you, and wishing you all well.
